PureBasic: A simple programming language derived from BASIC rules

PureBasic is a straightforward programming language that was born from BASIC and is aimed to help beginners learn the principles of coding. Nevertheless, even experienced users can study it to further improve their programming skills.

This download includes the PureBasic Interactive Development Environment which contains all the documentation needed to learn this programming language. The app is a complete IDE which lets you create, edit, run and debug PureBasic code, as well as create executable files from it.

The code editor takes up the most space in the UI, and it features tab support so you can work with multiple projects simultaneously. The built-in debugger lets you verify if your code is accurate and includes all essential options required to perform this task.

It also bundles a compiler, which enables you to create an executable file from your source code. The compiler lets you run a syntax check and compile the program with or without the debugger.

To customize PureBasic, you need to open the configuration panel where you can change colors for a number of elements, add more items to the tools panel and a few more options.
