Material Design and Linux combine for Quantum OS distro

If you are a fan of Google’s Material Design guidelines and Linux, I have some great news for you. Quantum OS is a developing distribution that aims to bring Material Design and Linux together into a neat, beautiful package.

Although it is not quite ready for mass distribution just yet, the developers have already released some details concerning the distro and a few screenshots to show us what they have been working for. Quantum OS will be using QML, a JavaScript-based language and will probably leverage an existing, stable Linux distro, like Ubuntu.

If you want to have a go at Quantum OS before its official release, the source code is already publicly available on GitHub. If the developers can deliver on their promise to make this a fast and lightweight system, I would definitely give it a try as I adore Material Design (as you might have noticed already). Make sure you visit the Quantum OS page if you want to get up-to-date information about the system, including news concerning a release date.
