Prominent Twitter leaker @upleaks posted three promo videos for the HTC One M9 that confirmed previous rumors about new cameras and better software for the company’s latest flagship device. Unsurprisingly, the videos have been taken down but the information is already out there.
First of all, the M9 will have a much better rear-facing camera at 20MP and an UltraPixel (probably 4MP) camera on the front. In other hardware news, the M9’s BoomSound speakers will offer you Dolby Surround sound which is also nice. Though it was not shown in the videos, it is safe to say that the device will also sport a Snapdragon 810 and 4GB of RAM. Regardless, everything will be confirmed on the company’s event on March 1st.
On the software side of things, there will be support for customizable themes, a widget that will give you a list of apps based on your location (like context-based launchers such as Yahoo’s Aviate), a photo editor with various effects and the ability to share your favorite media through gestures. These were the features that the videos focused on but there might be more that we have not heard about just yet. If you want more, come back on March 1st.
