USBDLM is a program that lets you assign custom drive letters to any USB devices that are connected to your machine. The application runs as a Windows service, so you won’t need administrator permisions to change the drive letters.

The system automatically allocates the first available drive to any newly connected USB devices. It’s true you can manually change letter assignments from Control Panel but with USBDLM you can do the same thing easier and save a lot of precious time!

USBDLM can detect the connected drives and automatically check if the letter that’s currently assigned to the device is used by network drives for the current user.

You can configure the application by editing the program’s .INI file. It lets you set drive letters that should be allocated to connected UsB drives but also hold certain letters that can’t be distributed to local drives, hide/remove drives and configure the application to show a popup that containes the assigned drive letter.
