JFileProcessor 1.5.4

JFileProcessor is a reliable Java-based file management application that includes an essential set of features as well as useful functions for file count and file search.

To use JFileProcessor, you will also need to have Java installed on your PC. The application functions in two modes: File Manager Mode and Search mode and you can easily switch between them.

In File Manager Mode you can perform basic operations such as copy, paste, cut, delete, rename and organize files. The context menu also lets you open and edit files, copy them to the clipboard and open a terminal window.

In Search Mode you can use various functions to search files based on parameters such as name, date and size, as well as switch between views. There’s also a file counter that can tell you the total number of files, number of matching files and total number of folders.

Pros

runs on any system java 7+; linux, mac, windows.
it can easily create and work with lists of files.
minus/add one list from another.
call a script on a list of files.
list can be string like hostname then you can remote execute a scripts on hosts

Cons

does not do sftp
this particular version did not work on windows so get newer version 1.5.10+

Summary

bookmarks are easy. it always give you a file and folder count. You can do count alone.
Search: file finder by Name (regex or glob), Dates, or Sizes. MinDepth, MaxDepth. works with list of string like filenames or hostnames. run scripts on list of files. copy files to remote host and execute it. Scripting is groovy which ties into java. put a groovy script into a folder and it shows up on your scripts menu to be callable.
