Animation Companion 0.8.07

Animation Companion is an easy to use piece of software designed to let you create 2D frame animations, sprites and sprites strips using a set of straightforward options.

The tool was created for use in conjunction with other editing apps as any edits you make to the photos used in your projects will be automatically merged into the animations. To begin with, Animation Companion offers a few templates which can be used as base layers to ensure imported graphic resources are placed properly.

It is possible to open multiple animations simultaneously and even make separate projects which contain all the animations created for a certain character. Images can be rotated, moved and resized, and you can preview them as well.

The application allows you to work with GIF, JPG, PSD and PNG image files with the option to arrange them across several layers. On top of that, you can mix two existing frames to create new, intermediate versions and once you are happy with the results, the project can be exported as a PNG images sequence, a sprite strip or an animated GIF.
