Summary

My Dir-615 router came with firmware rev. 3.10, but the wireless connection kept dropping out. Error messages were saying that the signal was too weak (2/5), despite close proximity, or that the IP address was lost. An upgrade to firmware rev. 3.11 fixed both of these problems...4/5 consistently now with no drop-outs, and a much "smoother" wireless internet connection. Caveat: don't do this upgrade over a wireless network as packet drop-out could cause major problems....do it via direct ethernet connection.
