Well, the WordPress dev team announced the release of the 2.7 version several days ago, but unfortunately got stalled a little. However, WordPress 2.7 codename Coltrane was launched several hours ago and it’s aiming to impress. This new WordPress build comes with many interesting new features, a face lift and many improvements and security fixes.

Yesterday, the guys from WordPress.org released the next version of the popular CMS, WordPress. The 2.6.5 version doesn’t bring any features on the table, it’s more of a security update. Today, WordPress got its announced update to the 2.6 version. Although this update was not scheduled now, I can say I’m impressed by the new features. Bloggers will cheerish this new version and WP’s functionality gets better and better with every new update. The 2.6 version is named “Tyner” after the jazz pianist McCoy Tyner and it’s available for download.
