Microsoft developed this tool specifically to deal with the increased number of SQL Injection attacks towards websites hosted on Windows server platforms. While the 3.0 version of Urlscan managed to deal with the SQL injection attacks, it also allowed attackers to diversify and it become a threat to the administrators, by backfiring.
This hidden feature in Windows 7 seems it got away from the eyes of many for some strange reason. And when I say strange is because I consider this feature a very useful and neat idea. If you didn’t watch the Aero Shake demo, this feature allows the users to minimize all the windows with just a shake of a window (?!).

There is no doubt that having multiple running applications at once can slow down your Windows XP machine or even produce some crashes/errors. There are several ways of closing your XP’s running applications with ease. First and the most common is the task manager (ctrl+alt+delete). Using the task manager, you can see quickly what applications at running at that time and how much of the system’s resources they eat up. Pressing the mouse right click and then “End now” will close that selected application but you can also hold the “Shift” button and drag to select all applications then selecting “End now” while pressing the right click.
