We can’t say we didn’t expected that and personally, I’m surprised it happened now. While still the dominant software company, Microsoft started to lose ground for the Windows OS and people are more attracted to other platforms, such as Mac or Linux. Microsoft has Windows 7 in its sleeve, but nobody can predict at this point how much will Windows 7 repair what Vista collapsed.

We all know that the default Windows burner lacks many options and it’s not a viable solution. There are many good programs that handle the CD/DVD burning jobs very good, such as Nero, but unfortunately, most are not free. However, there are several small applications that can handle certain CD/DVD burning tasks and one of them is ISO Recorder.

IF you don’t know what Pong is, I think you are not living on the right planet. Pong is the father of arcade games, originally released by Atari somewhere in 1972. Pong resembles table tennis, but in a more arcade-ish and simpler way. There are numerous versions of Pong, software AND hardware but people seem to like it way too much.

Many people like to replace Windows Explorer, the default file manager within the Windows OS. Now, there are many alternatives out there and some people including myself have more than 1 favorite file manager. CubicExplorer is one of those file managers that you install and like, period. It has a very simple interface and can be customized beyond actual needs.

You may have noticed that when your Windows is downloading updates and fixes, upon booting, it will not login into your account automatically. The cause of this ‘problem’ is most often the .NET Framework installation that adds an additional user account called ASPNET. The only screensaver I used so far was the clock screensaver in Windws and the default one in Mac OS, so ya, not a big fan. This question popped in our heads many times in the past and for some, it’s still an enigma. So, I will try to clarify what is svchost.exe, what’s used for and why in some occasions it eats your CPU.
What is svchost.exe?
According to Microsoft, “svchost.exe is a generic host process name for services that run from dynamic-link libraries” or, in plain English, svchost.exe is a system program that is needed by Windows to launch other programs that cannot be run without being hosted (thus the generic host process).
