I think everybody knows that adding external subtitles to a movie can become boring and slow-ish, especially when you need to rename every subtitle to match the name of the movie file, so your player can pick it up automatically. Either that or add the external subtitle manually within your video player. Fortunately, there are some tools that can ease up our multimedia experience and one of those tools is SubDude.

I’m not a Linux power user myself, but I have Linux installed on several rigs and this thought crossed my mind several times, but without any conclusion being too lazy.
