There are people, Mac fans even, that find the startup sound annoying. As a proud Mac owner, I don’t find the startup sound stressful or annoying in any way, on the contrary, not only that lets everyone know that there’s another Mac user in range but the sound itself indicates that the hardware startup testing has been successful.

Device Doctor is yet another driver update scanner, that, well, updates your computer drivers within some mouse clicks. What made us write about this, is that, as you probably figured it out, it’s completely free. Ya, it’s very annoying, I agree. Every time when Windows has finished installing some updates, the all-knowing dialog pops asking you if you want to restart now or restart later for all changes to take effect. But what if I’m doing something and I can’t restart? It’s fine, says Windows, press “Restart Later”. Oh great, says the user, pressing joyfully on Restart Later. But what on earth…the dialog appears again after a short while, asking the user the same thing? Hey heyyyy….!

The iPhone is getting another version of the popular game, this time, ready for the 3.0 update. Altough the original Doom release was kinda sucky, this time it’s promising alot. Doom is programmed to work with some features of the new 3.0 update, updated graphics and extended gameplay.
