serversAgain, we blow your mind with another great freeware application. Well, maybe we don’t blow your mind but still, it’s a great piece of software. ServerWatch is a Windows-based applications that enables networks admins to keep a very close and useful eye on their servers and workstations. ServerWatch aims to handle large networks with ease, bad news is, it’s currently in it’s alpha stage, meaning that it doesn’t have all the features yet and it may behave strangely from time to time.

Yesterday, the guys from WordPress.org released the next version of the popular CMS, WordPress. The 2.6.5 version doesn’t bring any features on the table, it’s more of a security update. Check Point, the company behind the ZoneAlarm software suite, decided to give away the ZoneAlarm Pro suite for free, for just a day, tomorrow. Now I don’t know if their servers will handle the possible requests for 1 day but don’t say we didn’t told you.

The Washington Post just reported that an U.S. based hosting company was responsible for almost 75 percent of all the world wide internet spam. The company in question is the McColo Corp., a San Jose, California based web hosting company.

Hurricane Electric and Global Crossing, both major internet providers for McColo, pulled the plug today upon discovering a large number of illegal activities happening on McColo’s servers including email spam,online scams or phishing websites.
