I promised to myself I’ll install Windows 7 when it reaches the final stage, but I couldn’t resist the Release Candidate, so here I am. Of course, one must be able to play all the multimedia files it can get and movies are an important part of that ‘multimedia’. Fortunately, Windows 7 comes covered in that area and not from Microsoft but from the creator of Vista Codec Package, another life saver back in the days. Several websites have reported a Windows 7 Beta download link appeared on the Microsoft Action Pack Subscription Page (MAPS). Unfortunately, Microsoft pulled it out shorter after the ‘leak’, but as you can see, screenshots were already taken so..BUSTED! Sources also stated that the Windows 7 Beta is ready for a while now, it’s just a matter of time until we can download it.
