There was a time when syncing your browser’s bookmarks required a bit of importing/exporting and in some occasions some tweaking. After that some plugins/extensions came and made our life much more easier. But now, the Chrome browser users have another reason to be happy, Chrome can easily sync everything from bookmarks to extensions, within 2 clicks. No more external extensions required, you can just do this with your browser, like it was supposed to be in the first place.

Google introduced a new mobile service named Near Me Now, that helps you find services near your current location. Such services include ATMs, restaurants, hotels or bars. All you have to do is click the Near Me Now button on Google Search and the results will be served immediatelly. There is also an Explore Right Here option that narrows down the search a couple of city blocks or lets you know the user’s opinions on those new found services.

For many of us, Google is just a search engine where you type a keyword and a bunch of search results are fed to you. In fact, Google is much more powerful than that, allowing you to refine, customize and use its search powers beyond your imagination. In this article, I will show you how to download free music via Google, using the -inurl operator.
Google just announced that they released a new hot stable version of Chrome the 3rd. Google brags with increased speeds and comes with some benchmarking, especially for you. As you can see, the SunSpider benchmark looks very good, beating the crap out of … everybody. The new tab page suffered a look change but this is the least important part. Chrome comes heavily armed for HTML5, which emphasizes the <video> and <audio> tags.
New themes are also present in this new Chrome release, making it even more customizable. You can read more about this stable release on the official Google Blog, but I’ll go play with it some more.

eBay, the current owners of Skype, are considering shutting down Skype due to licensing disputes. The company stated that there are some problems with Skype’s founders that may lead to its imminent closure. Well, allow us to not fall for this..at this point. Studies show that Skype currently carries about 8% of international voice traffic and has around 40 million active users…daily.
Shortly, you won’t need to convert any received Word or Excel 2007 document into 2000 compatible format, so you can read it. Now, simply upload it to Google Docs and read it online, it’s that simple. I’m not 100% certain, but I think Google Docs now supports all the document formats I can think of, if I’m wrong, let me know.

It’s time for more Google goodies, this time, from the notorious Google Labs. Google News Timeline is a fresh and juicy web application that organizes your news, wiki references or searches cronologically, like a calendar. It may sound very basic, but in fact, it’s not. Google News Timeline allows you to add any search query, from any source and it will automatically add it into the crono-mix.

Hey Mozilla, take care of your kids…the voices seem to say. Even if this isn’t fully confirmed yet, TechCrunch switched the target on the social-based Mozilla powered browser, Flock. According to them, Flock might leave its mommy, Mozilla, running in the arms of the Big Daddy, Google. The quoted sources also say that Flock will be redesigned and build on Google’s own browser, Chrome.
