More and more programs are dedicated on enhancing Windows 7 and although, the new OS doesn’t needs much patching, Windows 7 Little Tweaker enables some features that might be useful to anyone. Windows 7 Little Tweaker is a small portable application that works ONLY on Win 7 and ads some little juice to the pie.
Shortly, you won’t need to convert any received Word or Excel 2007 document into 2000 compatible format, so you can read it. Now, simply upload it to Google Docs and read it online, it’s that simple. I’m not 100% certain, but I think Google Docs now supports all the document formats I can think of, if I’m wrong, let me know.

Again, we blow your mind with another great freeware application. Well, maybe we don’t blow your mind but still, it’s a great piece of software. ServerWatch is a Windows-based applications that enables networks admins to keep a very close and useful eye on their servers and workstations. ServerWatch aims to handle large networks with ease, bad news is, it’s currently in it’s alpha stage, meaning that it doesn’t have all the features yet and it may behave strangely from time to time.

Ed Bott from ZDNet published an interesting tutorial to a perfect Windows 7 installation. Of course, advanced users may know some of those things already, but I found Ed’s post really helpful and decided to share it with you. Windows 7 is Microsoft’s love child and was embraced with total love from the community, thus making it a very popular installing choice even in it’s RC stage.

Again, a very useful piece of free software has landed in our courtyard, KeyboardLock. KeyboardLock will lock your keyboard AND mouse, using a key phrase and unlock it, ussing a different one. You might wonder why is this an useful software?

So, we stumbled upon Kantaris and we said, not again, another one? Well, let’s just say we changed our impression 10 minutes after. Kantaris is a freeware media player, based on the popular VLC PLayer, very shy but with great looks. Kinda the gorgeus girl next door but dressed modestly. What does that mean? Well, let me explain.

I promised to myself I’ll install Windows 7 when it reaches the final stage, but I couldn’t resist the Release Candidate, so here I am. Of course, one must be able to play all the multimedia files it can get and movies are an important part of that ‘multimedia’. Fortunately, Windows 7 comes covered in that area and not from Microsoft but from the creator of Vista Codec Package, another life saver back in the days. Win7codecs is the new Windows 7 codec package that once installed, plays everything and I mean everything.
