Fake Calls: Fake your calls on the iPhone
by Cezar Renta, November 7, 2008 | Leave a Comment
In case you ever wondered how’s it like to bail on a meeting or just an awkward situation only using your phone, here’s the answer: Fake Calls for the iPhone. Fake Calls will erm, create a fake call that will allow you to bail on any situation. You can customize caller id and even, you can schedule ‘Fake Calls’ to call you at a given time or interval. Of course, the application is available only for the iPhone and it’s not free, but I’m guessing anyone can afford to spend $0.99 for such a treasure.
Purchase and download Fake Calls from iTunes App Store.

This question popped in our heads many times in the past and for some, it’s still an enigma. So, I will try to clarify what is svchost.exe, what’s used for and why in some occasions it eats your CPU.
What is svchost.exe?
According to Microsoft, “svchost.exe is a generic host process name for services that run from dynamic-link libraries” or, in plain English, svchost.exe is a system program that is needed by Windows to launch other programs that cannot be run without being hosted (thus the generic host process).

A Shaking Clean OS: Windows 7 Aero Shake feature

This hidden feature in Windows 7 seems it got away from the eyes of many for some strange reason. And when I say strange is because I consider this feature a very useful and neat idea. If you didn’t watch the Aero Shake demo, this feature allows the users to minimize all the windows with just a shake of a window (?!).
While this isn’t actually a reason to love or hate Windows 7 just now, I find it…appealing.

I didn’t met any person that hates favicons yet, but doing a quick search on the internet, it seems not every Firefox user loves the little site icons. For those unfamiliar with the term, favicons are those small site specific icons, that appear on the left of the URL address bar.

As computer users, we were faced at least once to manually install at least one software program into our home/work computers. The funny part is that most of us, didn’t ever read the software’s EULA (End-User License Agreement), clicking the “I agree” button faster than lightning. I don’t blame us, the software EULAs are very long and boring, but there is a solution, a virtual assitant that reads the EULAs for us.
