Spam is reduced due hosting company shutdown?

server_racks-300x218The Washington Post just reported that an U.S. based hosting company was responsible for almost 75 percent of all the world wide internet spam. The company in question is the McColo Corp., a San Jose, California based web hosting company.

Hurricane Electric and Global Crossing, both major internet providers for McColo, pulled the plug today upon discovering a large number of illegal activities happening on McColo’s servers including email spam,online scams or phishing websites.

The speech to search iPhone application from Google

iphone_voice_googleNow, voice commands on the phone aren’t something new, but searching Google from your phone using your voice is. The good part is that it’s here and we can use it, the bad part is that this is only available for the Apple’s iPhone. Now I suspect that this feature will reach the Android market in the near future, but there isn’t any word for other markets such as Symbian.

How To: Remove Norton from your computer

Now, Norton is a little tricky to uninstall due to the fact that it leaves many registry entries and folders intact.

Android silently runs everything you type, worst bug ever

Shortly, every word you type on your ‘Google Phone’, any phone running Android more specific, will interpret those words as shell commands and Android will run them in superuser mode. Isn’t that great? Yes it is!

Shazam for the iPhone: Identify external music
