We all encountered situation when Windows applications gone wild and stopped respinding or got frozen. If that wasn’t enough, Windows couldn’t close them for uknown reasons and we got stuck with frozen windows or not responding error messages. xKill is an application ported from Linux that does exactly what we desire at this point, killing applications that Windows can’t close.

I need to start by saying this: THEY STOLE MY IDEEA! Well, life sucks and if you’re not fast enough, you’re gonna lose anyway. With that out of the closet, let’s get to the real deal here. OpenWith.org is a freeware application that can help you open any known or uknown file types by suggesting a free application that can use/manage that file type. Let’s say you have a .rar archive and you don’t have WinRar, because even if it’s trial, the final version is not free.

Comodo entered the market with a very good system cleaner, Comodo System Cleaner. This tool is an all in one system clean-up tool that can handle the registry, your disk or your privacy, with just some clicks. Oh and let’s get this out of the way, Comodo System Cleaner is free, so stay with me ok?
I won’t say that Comodo’s System Cleaner is the best cleaning software out there, but I will say this, it does a very good job and I’m personally impressed. Although I am a CCleaner fan, Comodo System Cleaner left me with a good taste and a ‘warm’ impression. The registry cleaner component scans the registry very fast, displaying all problems with the option of cleaning them up.

Core Temp is a free temperature monitoring program, Vista, XP and Windows 7 compatible. The difference between Core Temp and other temperature monitoring applications is that this one shows us the temperature of each core within the CPU. This feature is supported by the Intel Core, Intel Core 2 based processors and the whole AMD Athlon64 family and Phenom (does not report absolute temps tho).
