Every respectable PC user has a preferred media player program and some could be using the same one for years. But we must accept the fact that as time goes by, better applications emerge while others fall behind even if at one point they were top-notch programs with the richest set of features, and this applies to media players as well.

So let’s take a look at GOM Player, see what’s under the hood and more importantly…if it’s worth making it our regular video playback tool. It’s a highly appreciated free program, even if there are other media players significantly more popular, this particular application focuses on providing a comfortable playback experience through a generous collection of useful features.

Most computer users know some basic facts about the media player app called Winamp, and a large number of them actually use it. However not all of its fans realize the vast collection of features that lies beneath this greatly appreciated program and as a consequence don’t take advantage of all the benefits present within Winamp.

Generally used as an audio player , Winamp also features support for video playback, internet radio, a large number of supported file formats, all contained in a friendly interface customizable to an extent difficult to imagine. And we’ve barely scratched the surface.

Any Video Converter - output file types

Without shadow of a doubt the number of multimedia file types is currently so large that it’s somewhat hard to keep track of them all. We have dozens of audio and video file types designed for tons of platforms and devices, from PCs to Macs, Smartphones and iPods.

The worst part is that some of these file types are incompatible with certain devices, so we often end up with a headache by trying to organize our multimedia archive and convert files so that we can transfer them onto our desired platform. In a nutshell, dealing with so many multimedia file types can simply turn into a mess and we usually end up wishing there weren’t so many of them.
