After Pirate Bay turned legal, the dutch Mininova decided the go the same path and turn legal. Pirates are crying all over the net, families are disbanded, shots fired in the suburbs, we are witnessing the end of the world folks! Mininova was the Black Beard of the torrent world, providing loot for the pirates roaming all over the internet. The Mininova case went to court in June and after a short while the verdict was announced. Removal of all copyright infringement material or face a small fine of 5 million eur.

Device Doctor is yet another driver update scanner, that, well, updates your computer drivers within some mouse clicks. What made us write about this, is that, as you probably figured it out, it’s completely free. The advantages of a driver updating software are obvious, keeping your computer updated at all times, with the latest driver releases, directly from the application. Of course, there are some drawbacks to any automated task, older drivers are not always found or some incorrect versions are slipped here and there, but overall, a driver update scanner is strongly recommended.

Once again, we found a great how to, via Web Talk, helping us to create a single DVD with all Windows 7 versions. Great huh? Well, here’s the thing, Microsoft allows its buyers to purchase Windows 7 via the affiliated online stores, microsoft.com or TechNet. The Windows 7 installation files weren’t made public, until now… The files have been leaked from the Microsoft’s online retailer, Digital River and can be messed with a bit…directly to a DVD.

Google just announced that they released a new hot stable version of Chrome the 3rd. Google brags with increased speeds and comes with some benchmarking, especially for you. As you can see, the SunSpider benchmark looks very good, beating the crap out of … everybody. The new tab page suffered a look change but this is the least important part. Chrome comes heavily armed for HTML5, which emphasizes the <video> and <audio> tags.
New themes are also present in this new Chrome release, making it even more customizable. You can read more about this stable release on the official Google Blog, but I’ll go play with it some more.
