There’s some buzz around the net that Windows will be launching Live Essentials 2011 today. The release comes after the latest beta push back in August 17. While the final release is boldly set to “air” kinda premature, Microsoft promises that the latest suite will take advantage of Windows 7 fully.

I think it’s no suprise to many that NatGeo has a gorgeous and impressive collection of wallpapers, from places around the world, cities and nature wonders. While all of their repository was free to access and download, downloading mass amounts of wallpapers was rather difficult, unless you wanted to have sore mouse fingers.

So finally Apple just released the new iTunes 10. While iTunes looks an feels almost the same, it seems that Apple decided to add a little social flavour to the new version, the Ping integration feature. Ping actually is Apple attempt to create a centralized social network of music, artists etc…pretty much like Last.FM.

I’m not a great fan of Windows native System Restore and i’ll probably never be, due to its buggy nature. However, the guys from Comodo managed to create a backup & restore application, similar to System Restore that is actually better and more reliable. Comodo Time Machine is a powerful system rollback utility that creates certain backup points and allows the user to rollback Windows to those specific points. Practically, this allows the user/administrator create system snapshots that he can save, for later rollbackin’.

Yes, Windows 7 has a secret game-like Godmode that once enabled, allows the user to access most of its options/settings under one window, nicely arranged and ready to be abused. It won’t do any wonderful magic, but you will find options there that you probably ignored/passed by in your exploration lust. Windows 7 Godmode it’s actually THE collection of tools/settings presented nicely under one window. It’s fair to say that Godmode is a good-to-have option on your desktop, giving the user an overview of Windows 7 and it’s settings.
