For many of us, Google is just a search engine where you type a keyword and a bunch of search results are fed to you. In fact, Google is much more powerful than that, allowing you to refine, customize and use its search powers beyond your imagination. In this article, I will show you how to download free music via Google, using the -inurl operator.
Let’s say we want to find and download tracks from the band “The Prodigy”. You need to write this within the Google search:
-inurl:(htm|html|php)intitle:”index of”+”last modified” + “parent directory”+ description + size + (wma|mp3) “prodigy”
You can replace prodigy with any singer/artist you like. As you can see in the screenshot, a bunch of websites containing mp3′s and wma files with “prodigy” are displayed. Most of them will allow you to download their own hosted files, so there’s nothing illegal about that. Don’t abuse this command tho, Google is not a freeway to piracy.
