Firefox 2 was retired, long live Firefox 3!

Mozilla has oficially ended support for Firefox 2 and notified all its users, via the latest automatic update, that this is oficially the last Firefox 2 update. I’m personally amazed that Mozilla took this step this late, with Firefox 3 being a “best-seller” with almost 30 milltion downloads worldwide. I don’t need to cry now, Firefox 3 has everything and more, including your addons.

Even if I moved to Firefox 3 some time ago, I will miss the old FF interface and probably that first feeling of superiority over IE…oh and that attidude!. Mozilla has come a long way with Firefox and we, the users, have alot to gain from their work. Browser war or not, Chrome or not, Firefox is here to stay a long time !
