I tend to notice it updates some drivers badly and the hardware stops working on the system. I'd recommend going to hardware vendors websites and finding and updating the drivers there manually. This is and always has been best practice. But I guess if you're a noob when it comes to this sort of thing, for sure have a crack at it. I personally have never had any luck with driver updates.
