The only screensaver I used so far was the clock screensaver in Windws and the default one in Mac OS, so ya, not a big fan. Those 2 screensavers turned my eye tho, the ideea behind them it’s what it makes them unique and appealing. But let’s take them one at a time and shortly, let’s see what this is all about.
The Wikipedia screensaver
For those who don’t know what Wikipedia is, you definitely lived under some rock, but we will tell you anyway. Wikipedia is the largest knowledge-based Internet database. Now, you will probably ask yourself what’s with the Wikipedia screensaver and what’s got to do with Wikipedia. Well, the screensaver will load random pages from Wikipedia at a given time interval (default: 30 sec). Also, the Wikipedia screensaver can kill any Windows application on activation, which makes it more yummy.

The Wikiquote screesaver
Wikiquote is another site belonging to Wikipedia and you guessed, is a quote-based internet database. You can find here various quotes and sources, from music, games, movies and whatnot. The Wikiquote screensaver is resembling its brother alot but has more functionality. The Wikiquote screensaver will display random quotes from wikiquote at a given time interval with the possibility of choosing your language. Also, the screensaver has an interface that lets you add more quotes manually.
