Cezar,

there is nothing obvious in System Preferences - a Spotlight search for 'camera' in System Preferences reveals nothing.

I have run Disk Utility to Repair Disk Permissions and that did sort out a few files.

My system has been running OK since this morning after restarting after the Safe Boot log-in.

I'll post again tomorrow if the same symptoms appear.

Thanks again for your interest and suggestions.

Does this update appear anywhere in System Preferences or has any references there? Also, maybe this sounds stupid, but have you configured your Time Machine? Maybe you can roll it back using TM

Cezar,

I am using OS X10.5.5 !

Karnal,

as it is not the first time that Apple have issued a flawed update, it is time that they provided an de-installlation facility. Re-installing from scratch is hardly an acceptable option.

Thanks both for your interest and comments.

As I know, you can't rollback an Apple OS update and you need to reinstall the Mac OS X from your install CDs/DVD.
