I didn’t met any person that hates favicons yet, but doing a quick search on the internet, it seems not every Firefox user loves the little site icons. For those unfamiliar with the term, favicons are those small site specific icons, that appear on the left of the URL address bar.

Luckily, for all those favicon haters, Firefox can block them for you with just some mouse clicks.

Type “about:config” within the address bar amd press enter. A similar screen with the one posted by us will appear. Only 2 options are of interest to you, the browser.chrome.site_icons and browser.chrome.favicons. Double click on each option and set it to False. If you restart Firefox, you should see the changes active within your browser.
