You may have noticed that when your Windows is downloading updates and fixes, upon booting, it will not login into your account automatically. The cause of this ‘problem’ is most often the .NET Framework installation that adds an additional user account called ASPNET. If you want to check it out, you can browse to your “Control Panel > User Accounts” .
Fortunately, there are several fixes for this problem and we will show you one of them.
Press “Start” then click the “Run” menu and type the following command “CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2″ followed by the “OK” button. You will be presented with a screen similiar with the one posted by us. Basically choose the account you wish to automatically login, uncheck the “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” and then press “OK”. You need to type the username and the password to finish this whole process.
Also, Microsoft posted a fix in its Knowledge Base, involving the .NET Framework fix.
