There’s no doubt about it, laptop/notebook battery life is still an issue nowadays and we need to learn how to optimize it specially when we’re travelling. Introducing Aerofoil, a tiny little program that in its simplicity, greatly increases your battery life. What Aerofoil is doing is actually detecting when the laptop is running on battery and switches off some battery eating features such as: Vista/7 Aero glass interface, the sidebar or muting the sound. And..that’s not all, Aerofoil can switch between multiple power plans, depending if the laptop is on battery power…kinda like the VAIO bundled software or the Macbook if you will.
Of course, you have the choice to enable/disable everything and you can configure Aerofoil with ease, in several clicks.
