Under construction: Windows Vista SP2

It’s clear that Windows Vista isn’t a dead OS, in fact, as we all know, the next operating system, Windows 7 is based on Windows Vista. It also seems that Microsoft is working at the next Service Pack for Windows Vista, namely SP2. While the beta invites were sent out not so long ago, rumors are that Windows Vista SP2 will be launched somewhere in January 2009. I have no doubt that Microsoft is trying to push things further with Windows Vista and we will probably have the same XP SP2 – Vista duo, but this time with Vista SP2 – Windows 7.

Windows Vista SP2 will probably improve the OS just as much as SP1 revived it back in February 2008, at least that’s what we are hoping. With no doubt, the Redmond company tries to keep us more interested in WIndows with the Service Pack 2 until Windows 7 is released and we will be hypnotized by the new, improved, out of this world, Windows world!…at least they hope so.

Until then, I’m guessing many are still enjoying Windows XP as we speak while Vista still has the “cryptonite” flag all over it.

What do you think?
