We already knew that the next Windows after Vista will be Windows 7 but hell, we thought this is a codename, like we were used to. Apparently, Microsoft decided that Windows 7 is a very good name for its next OS. Now, I don’t want to be rude, but how on earth they decided this? Is there an Windows 6? Does 7 stands for something? Is the new Windows 32 bit + 7 extra bits?

Nonetheless, the new Vista core is on the workbench and even if the name sounds like a stupid game sequel, altough there is not previous version, we need to trust Microsoft and its decisions..or..

    2000 is 4, XP is 5, Vista is 6, and well, 7 is 7, that’s where that came from…

    Windows Forensics programs already show the version numbers for each of the versions listed above.
