Microsoft started to throw small pieces of Windows 7 goodies at the developers, raising the enthusiasm for some and curiosity for others. This Windows 7 build is one the Milestone 3 builds, the 6801 build to be more precise.
So, without further delay, let’s see what is Microsoft holding in the Windows 7 bag-o-goodies so far.
StreamOn
Some kind of next-gen Windows Media Player component, StreamOn is multimedia content controller.
Device Stage
According the MIcrosoft, Device Stage is a way manage, explore, sync, print to, or do other common device-related tasks. Probably the son of the traditional Plug and Play, the feature simplifies the user interatction with the devices or peripherals
Action Center
A self-diagnosis feature, helping users to localize and fix problems within Windows 7.
Improved Bluetooth support
It’s not known yet if the improved bluetooth support is the same as the one in Windows Vista SP1 or Microsoft went to the next level.
Multi-touch and gesture recognition
Of course we knew that, just felt like underlining this feature.
New taskbar and shell integration
While not looking very different from Vista, it seems like Windows 7 has some new graphical changes such as the new taskbar.
As we wait for the next Windows 7 M4 build, we are eager to see what Microsoft will pull out of the bag again and if Windows 7 will live up to its hype.
