Although Firefox took a large part of the browser market, Opera is not dead, in fact, it’s alive and kicking with a new updated version, the 9.6. This latest Opera version wants to be a stability and security update, but Huib Kleinhout, Opera Desktop Team manager tells us it’s more than that::

“Opera 9.6 adds synchronization of custom searches and typed history with Opera Link, several new features in Opera Mail, a nice preview page for feeds and last but not least: improved stability and performance. We also launched a new site today: Discover Opera. It shows in simple steps how to use many of the powerful Opera features. Do you know them all?”

Now, it remains to be seen if Opera will win some battles in this browser war, adding the fact that now it has to fight also with Google Chrome, the “freshman”.
