Probably the most expected mobile browser of the year, Firefox for Mobile enters Alpha 1 and goes publicly. Firefox for Mobile, also codenamed Fennec, promises to the THE browser and comes with the Firefox power. Now, if you are rushing to search for it and install it, i have bad news, the Fennec Alpha 1 is aimed at Nokia N810 and N800 Internet tablet users, for now. ( installation instructions )

Fennec Alpha 1 comes with some good features, including:

- Password manager
- Popup blocker
- Bookmarks
- Tabbed browsing
- Zoom in and out
- JavaScript API to get device location
- Auto-hiding controls and URL bar

It seems that Mozilla learned the privacy lesson and of course, loading times were not forgotten, initial reports show above average loading speeds. Now, most of us will still have to wait until Fennec gets into our phones, but until then, Opera just released the Opera Mobile browser 9.5 Beta 2, which may keep us occupied for some time, or who knows, maybe we will convert to Opera.
