Foxit Reader is a freeware PDF reader, packed with some very useful features and a great performance. Of course, the question pops, why not Adobe Reader? It’s free also… And you’re right, only if you are a nail biting masochist. Adobe Reader is severely bloated with stuff you barely need and loads your PDF files while taking a shower…almost.
Foxit Reader goes for the user experience and it does a very good job. PDF files are accessed lighting fast and it comes with several useful features such as internet search, sharing and multimedia support. Did I tell you that you can convert any PDF into a text file? Oh wait, there are paid applications that do that? We know, we know…
Now, just give me 1 reason that we should continue using Adobe Reader and not switch to Foxit Reader? I’m used to Abobe’s interface…some random voice whispers. Well, Foxit Reader has almost the same interface as Adobe Reader, so you won’t have to change anything in your PDF habits…really! Now, if I didn’t convinced you, you should install it, play with it and see for yourselves.
