Google intends to buy game maker Valve Software, according to The Inquirer. Analysts report that Google wants to aquire Valve only for their Steam Powered Techology, which has alone thousands of online users. Valve’s Steam, is a content distribution platform, which sells..alot!
Some say that Google’s move to buy Valve will bury its competiotion (aka MSN), but I don’t think MSN really pulled any real competition so far. This takeover however can have a several impacts to the industry, most of them good, but surprises may come up from nowhere (Google Portal anywone?).
