Puzzles are one of the most popular categories for online games, providing casual game-play for some moments of relaxation and when it comes to platform-games we are used to see some common characteristics that repeat themselves from one game to another and very few original features.
That’s probably why a puzzle platformer would make us think of jumping, running and collecting coins or jewels like in Mario, which is nice but getting kind of old. znRevolutions managed to surprise us with the original idea of implementing a cylindrical platform that requires minimum jumping, no running and maximum coordination of actions.
The basic idea is you have to reach the exit globe by going across the revolving platform. From here things get a bit complicated because you have to find the right path to get there, overcome lava and terrain obstacles, activate/de-activate switches and time your jumps precisely. The slightest mistake means failure.
Graphics are clean but very simple, the game relying on the original idea of spinning the platform. The keyboard-based controls are very accurate as the game-play obviously requires this, so you will be able to execute movements with precision as long as your hand is willing.
All things considered znRevolutions is a unique and challenging online game that managed to keep us struggling with it for some time (longer than we’d like to admit!). Care to give it a shot?
