So, we stumbled upon Kantaris and we said, not again, another one? Well, let’s just say we changed our impression 10 minutes after. Kantaris is a freeware media player, based on the popular VLC PLayer, very shy but with great looks. Kinda the gorgeus girl next door but dressed modestly. What does that mean? Well, let me explain.
Kantaris comes with all the power of VLC Player into a great body. It played all the media we threw in, it responded fast to all our commands and it looks great! The user interface is very intuitive, easy to use and it comes bundled with many goodies such as video library, media preview and Last.FM radio…and that’s not all. Kantaris comes with another great feature, it can play all the latest Apple trailers from within the player. Of couse, you can also customize all the player keys but hey, who counts?
Overall, Kantaris is a great player and may not be as much as powerful as VLC, yet, but it’s in constant development and we have a very positive feeling about this. Stick around and download it, you must to!
