So, 2008 ended and here we are in 2009, an interesting year on the software market or so we like to think. The iPhone is still the no 1 gadget and the application store is filled with applications of all sorts. It’s time to see which applications we consider to be the best for the iPhone/iPod Touch and I assure you, this wasn’t easy. We limited our list to 5 applications and after hours of in-house debating, we reached a conclusion, so here we are.
Number 5:
Ocarina transforms your iPhone into a virtual flute, only using its microfone and touchscreen. It can become a very addictive application, musician or not and you can tell the world what song have you composed. Download Ocarina ($1)
Number 4:
TapTapRevenge is a Guitar Hero clone for the iPhone. The principle is the same, but instead, you tap your iPhone touchscreen to catch the tune rhytms. Even if it’s not Guitar Hero, it’s still a very addictive game. Download TapTapRevenge (free)
Number 3:
iFart Mobile is a prank application for your iPhone/iPod Touch, who can turn your device into a farting machine, producing endless minutes of laughter, joy, dissorientation, anger and many other feelings. Download iFart Mobile ($0.50)
Number 2:
Pandora is your personlaized streaming radio, directly to the iPhone/iPod Touch. Add an artist you like and Pandora will play that station and related tracks from other artists. Overall an impressive application and damn cool. Download Pandora (free)
The best app:
Google Earth is around quite some time now, but when you combine its power with iPhone’s features, screen and feel, you literally get the world in your pocket. Definitelly the most impressive portable application. Download Google Earth (free)
