The Tucson Festival of Books is Arizona's largest literary event, a celebration of literacy where favorite authors gather to speak about their work and sign books.

There are writing workshops and competitions, panel presentations, live cooking demonstrations, exhibits, children's activities, storytelling, artists, musicians, and a literary-themed circus show. Local restaurants spice up the food offerings.

The 2011 Tucson Festival of Books takes place March 12 and 13 on the University of Arizona campus in Tucson. Admission and parking are free. Sponsors of the Festival include the Arizona Daily Star, the University of Arizona and the University Medical Center.The second annual Tucson Festival of Books in 2010 attracted 80,000 visitors.
