This is the version of Tucson Festival of Books for iPhone / iPod Touch.
The Tucson Festival of Books is Arizona's largest literary event, a celebration of literacy where favorite authors gather to speak about their work and sign books.
There are writing workshops and competitions, panel presentations, live cooking demonstrations, exhibits, children's activities, storytelling, artists, musicians, and a literary-themed circus show. Local restaurants spice up the food offerings.
This app is your mobile companion to the Festival. It includes profiles of the 450 participating authors and presenters, and a complete guide to times and locations of the Festival's events. Meet your favorite best-selling author or get tips on how to break into the business yourself - there truly is something for all readers, of all ages.
You'll also have a pocket guide to the 200-plus exhibitors and sponsors, along with access to latest Festival news (such as last-minute schedule changes).
The 2011 Tucson Festival of Books takes place March 12 and 13 on the University of Arizona campus in Tucson. Admission and parking are free. Sponsors of the Festival include the Arizona Daily Star, the University of Arizona and the University Medical Center.The second annual Tucson Festival of Books in 2010 attracted 80,000 visitors. The Festival has raised $350,000 to support literacy programs in Southern Arizona.- Replaced media tab with the 2011 schedule of events- This version will now work on devices running iOS 3.1.3
