This is the version of Shazam for iPhone / iPod Touch.
Lovin' that tune? Shazam gives you instant satisfaction when you want to know what song is playing. Just point your phone towards the music source to identify and buy the track, or share your discovery with friends and family.
If you are a new Shazam user you'll be limited to 5 Tags a month. If you've been using Shazam on your current iPhone/iPod touch since before 9th November 2009, you still receive unlimited tagging.
Or why not buy Shazam Encore - the premium version of our app. Encore comes with extra features including unlimited tagging, previews, recommendations and Tag charts. Shazam Encore is the fastest, slickest way to discover and share music.
Start your music journey, and enjoy Shazam to:
• Discover and buy music: identify what song is playing; preview and buy the track direct on iTunes, or watch the video on YouTube.
• Share a music moment: Tweet your Tags, post track details to Facebook, or send a postcard to friends who share your music tastes.
• Learn more about music: read track and album reviews, view song lyrics* and artist biographies.
• Personalise your Tags: take and add a photo, or map your Tags, as a reminder of where you where when you captured the moment.

A note to iPod touch users: Shazam needs to hear the music sample, which means using a microphone (on the iPhone it's built in, on the iPod touch you can attach an Apple Stereo Headset which has a small microphone capsule). Hold the mic towards the music source and Shazam will do the rest!
