Safe Drop Viewer - ----- This App Works With Encrypted Files Created Using Safe Drop -----Safe Drop
This is the version of Safe Drop Viewer for iPhone / iPod Touch.
----- This App Works With Encrypted Files Created Using Safe Drop -----Safe Drop, a file encryption utility, is available in Lion App Store.Safe Drop Viewer lets you decode files that you encrypted on your computer using Safe Drop. You will need to provide your password to decrypt files. There is a preview feature available for the most common types of files.You can also open the decrypted files in any application that support that file type.The basic steps for transferring files to Safe Drop Viewer will be as follows:1. Encrypt a file with Safe Drop App on your desktop or laptop and forward to Drop Box (file will have a .enc extension).2. Once the file is sync'd to Drop Box App for iPhone, attempt to open the encrypted file by tapping it.3. Drop Box will show a screen that indicates "Unable to view file."4. On that screen, choose the "Forward" icon in the tool bar and select "Safe Drop" button in the action sheet.5. Drop Box App will send the file to Safe Drop Viewer, which will ask for a password to decrypt the file.6. Once the file is decrypted, the .enc extension is removed and original extension is restored so that it can be quick-viewed from Safe Drop Viewer.7. In the quick-view mode, the file can be printed or opened in any app that supports the file type (e.g., pdf in iBooks).8.
