Not only does it convert normal integer values into Roman Numerals but also into the alternate system that is sometimes found. It will also let you type in Roman Numerals to tell you the integer value and also the alternate Roman Numerals to the integer value.Each conversion is explained so that you can understand how the answers were arrived at. Also there is a page of notes about roman numerals.Note: Because Roman Numerals were only standardized recently (certainly not by the Romans) there are many inscriptions with odd dates that do not follow the rules.
