This is the version of Closest City for iPhone / iPod Touch.
Closest City
Closes city is a funny little app where you can see distance and direction information about cities close to your current location. No internet connection is needed since the app comes with a fairly large database containing almost 2.7 million cities in 228 different countries.
Closest City consists of 3 tab views:
Closest City
In the closest city tab you can see a list of the cities closest to your location in the closest city section. The selected city is visible in the selected city section.
Current GPS information is displayed in the GPS information section. Toggle between advanced and simple information by taping the arrow in the top right corner. Any city can be selected by taping inside the selected city section. Taping the right side inside the selected city brings up the compass tab. The arrow to the right of a city indicates a reference direction to the location, where up is north, right is east, down is south and left is west.Compass
This compass shows the direction to the selected city. Turn left or right until the red compass needle is inside the red marker to point in the direction of the selected city. Any direction can be selected by holding down inside the compass until the heading number becomes larger. Then rotate to preferred heading and release. In the compass tab, tap the arrow in the top right corner to change back the selected city heading.Favorites

Tap the country your interested in.
Search for a city. Use * or % as wildcard.Compass
