This is the version of Africa Hero for iPhone / iPod Touch.
This free smart phone application has been developed to raise awareness and challenge social change by reaching the highest possible number of individuals towards the crisis in the Horn of Africa.Parts of Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia are facing one of the worst droughts for 60 years, and more than 12 million people are desperately in need of food, clean water and basic sanitation.Despite the urgency of the situation, most world leaders are responding too slowly. Immediate aid is essential. Yet at the same time we must not let them drop the ball on long term solutions as has too often happened in the past.As the very first of its kind -this multiplatform app - has been inspired by the easy way that technology empowers individuals and produce major social changes when they are allowed to access instant and accurate news from the site, given the opportunity to help with their initiatives and share their ideas with others within their network.Make smart use of this technology to KNOW what is happening on site with LIVE feeds, actively be part of an international campaign to HELP millions of fellow humans in desperate need and SHARE this app with your network for a stronger world response unlike you've never experienced before.
