*****The LITE version provides the first 2 lessons*****
*****The LITE version has all the functionality of the full version*****The Miracle of Qur'anic Arabic – Easy Access for AllU-Qur'an is short for “Understanding Qur'anic Arabic for the English Speaking”. The focus of this program is to allow a Muslim to connect directly with the Qur'an in Arabic, the language that it was originally revealed. Allah(S) in all His wisdom revealed the Qur'an in Arabic, and did so in the first instance to Arabs to whom the language of the Qur'an was their own. In Surah Ibrahim, verse 4 Allah(S) says:
AND NEVER have We sent forth any apostle otherwise than [with a message] in his own people's tongue, so that he might make [the truth] clear unto them; but God lets go astray him that wills [to go astray], and guides him that wills [to be guided] -for He alone is almighty, truly wise. (14:4)But today the vast majorities of Muslims do not speak or understand Arabic, and so one must ask what happens to the common sense message revealed above? The very real case today of a message “revealed” in a language not understood by its' recipients is problematic to say the least. But many Muslims do try to learn Arabic in the hope that they can better “hear” their Lords message. Some achieve their goal, but most cannot; in the struggle that we call life, the idea of dedicating significant time to learning a second language is a luxury most people just don't have. But Allah(S) knows this, and knew this when He revealed the above verses to us. As is often the case, we humans made a mistake; we confused the idea of learning the Arabic Language with the idea of understanding the Qur'an!Yes, it is true that the Arabic language is difficult, as is any language. But one need not learn the Arabic language to understand the Qur'an, they need only learn that part of the Arabic language that the Qur'an uses. And here is Allah(S)'s miracle; as rich as the message of the Qur'an is, the vocabulary used to deliver this message is actually very limited.
For example, of the seven days of the week in the Arabic language, the Qur'an only uses the word Juma and Sabt (Friday and Saturday). Another example includes the months of the year where our of the 12 months in the Arabic language the Qur'an only mentions Ramadan. And of the multitude of numbers that exist the Qur'an uses only 1 thru 12, 19, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 99, 100, 200, 300, 1000, 3000, 5000, and 50,000.
Now If one has to start with Arabic language as a whole (as in a traditional Arabic class) he/she will probably have to memorize all the names of the months, days of the week and numbers up to 50,000 to be able to comprehend just the 32 items mentioned above. Would it not be a lot easier to just learn the 32 items? Of course it would, and we believe that is the miracle that makes the Qur'an so much more accessible than the Arabic language as a whole. There are 52,585 words in the Quran with repetition. If we take all the words that repeat 10 or more times, we come up with 852 non-repeated or unique words; these are the top 852 most repeated words in the Qur'an. With repetition these words account for an 30,495 words! That means that if you learn these 852 words (derived from 335 root words), you will understand 59% of the Qur'an in Arabic!Think about it: In what language, and in which book can you get this result? Unless the Qur'an is easy, you cannot achieve so much in so little effort. So has said Allah(S), the Almighty:But We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition?
