Juku N34 Bunpou - Review from CanadaI have been using the JUKU series with passion almost everyday
This version of Juku N34 Bunpou is optimized for the iPad, meaning that you can enjoy the full Juku N34 Bunpou experience on the big screen.
Review from Canada:
I have been using the JUKU series with passion almost everyday for a while now, and am quite frankly eager to tell the whole world just how glad I still am of having found rather unexpectedly such super efficient language tools! Each JUKU application shares the same clean, easy-to-navigate, bug-free, relaxing interface (excellent for focusing btw), and most of all each application offers interesting drills with compounds or sentences of varying difficulties and lengths that have proven be more than helpful in my Japanese endeavours. I have purchased them all on a whim (i.e Bunpou, Denraigo, Giseigo, Kotoba, Reibun), yet consider the whole suite very well-priced and totally worth the money given the high quality and width of these applications content wise!
----------------------Many programs aim to learn vocabulary, but very few offer to learn grammar. With Juku N34 Bunpou, you can learn grammar needed for JLPT level 3 & 4, with 2 example sentences for each grammar.HOW JUKU WORKS
Most of learning applications like Anki, Mnemosyne, Super Memo, smart.fm, etc employing Spaced Repetition System (SRS). SRS is a good system, but requires too much work for LAZY people. SRS requires your feedback whether or not you remember the shown word. Some application just ask simple yes or no, but there is an application that ask up to 6 levels of recall! For LAZY people, the feedback process is a tedious tap/click action.Juku offers conventional way of memorization, i.e. cram. The name Juku come from this method (Juku means cram school). All you need is concentration. Set the display time the considerably enough, and set the session length (15m-20m is recommended). Take a relaxing position: sit down, lying on bed, etc up to you. Concentrate, and start learning. Read (or write if you practice writing) the word as they are shown. Take a small break between sessions. You will be surprised that you can memorize more words in relaxing way with conventional method.Features:
* 4 modes of learning:
- Complete with furigana and meaning.
- Without furigana.
- Kanji only
- Word meaning only.
* Highlighted word in example sentenceJuku N34 Bunpou contains:
- 41 grammars and 81 example sentences for level 4
- 86 grammars and 171 example sentences for level 3Few tips:
* Do I need application with native japanese voice?
- Unlike English, Japanese pronunciation is consistent, e.g. a, ka, sa, etc are pronounced the same regardless the position. Once you pronounce each syllable correctly, you can pronounce every word.
* Do I need application with Kanji writing guide?
- Writing Kanji is not as difficult as many people think. The key is to divide a complex Kanji into elements. Remembering the stroke order for small elements is very easy. For example, 帽 is built from 3 elements: 市, 日, 目
* Do I need to remember all Kanji one by one?
- No, besides it is difficult, it is useless at the beginning. Unlike Chinese, in Japanese, Kanji have several readings, depends on the position. It's better to remember Kanji in its context (word or sentence). The more you see the Kanji in different context, gradually you know all the Kanji readings.- Universal binary- Skip, look back, show all and pauseHOW JUKU WORKS
