DDS GP is intended to be used by dentists, hygienists, and other dental professionals to increase case acceptance though better patient understanding of their dental health.
It includes over 160 diagnoses and procedures.
This app is a universal app and is therefore fully functional on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. However, for chairside use, the app is truly best on the iPad.
What sets DDS GP apart from other products is its interactive nature. Using our unique "slider", the user can quickly navigate though series of images to show the severity of a condition or the steps of treatment.
DDS GP is the future of chairside patient consultation. It is a comprehensive package that includes drawings, sketches, x-rays, and photos of dental diagnoses and procedures. If you are using printed materials, videos, or making your own drawings for your patients, this app replaces all of those. After demonstrating the diagnosis or plan(s), you can e-mail your patient a customized plan, including easy-to-understand sketches, and send a copy to the chart, creating a date-stamped record of your conversation.
You can also import your own images into demonstrations, choose which images (ours or your own) you wish to include on treatment plan e-mails, and have the option for patient to electronically sign the treatment plan before sending.
In testing, patients were impressed when their dental office used leading-edge technology like the iPad. Patients responded with a higher case acceptance rate when their dental practitioner was directly explaining conditions and treatment plans with the aid of DDS than when they were left alone to watch a video.
Unlike every other electronic dental consultation product on the market, which charge monthly or version fees, there is never any cost to add these additional sections as they become available though the iTunes Update program, even if the price of the app itself goes up.
