Used by artists such as Vincent Van Gogh and Leonardo Da Vinci, the grid drawing method has been brought to digital life with CopyIt for iPad!You do not even need to be artistic!The grid drawing method breaks images down into smaller work areas. All you need to do then is focus on the actual lines and shapes within each square, rather than trying to draw the whole picture at once. You can't help but achieve with this method.Using CopyIt also saves you from having to print your photos and ruin them by drawing grids over them.Examples of the types of images that CopyIt can help you duplicate include photos, family portraits, house plans, logos, photos of paintings and drawings.If you want to draw an image larger or smaller than the original, the pencil-drawn grid should be drawn larger or smaller than the original grid on the iPad™.
All that matters is that the contents of each square are drawn to scale.FEATURES:
• Set your Maximum Zoom level from x1 to x20.
• To maintain the grid visibility regardless of your photo, choose from 3 grid colors, Black (default) Gray and White.
• Change the Grid Line Width.
• Change the Grid Size.
• You can reposition the Grid over the Image if required.Changes in 1.1
• Your current image, Grid Size, Grid Line Width, Grid Color, Locked status, Maximum Zoom, Current Zoom, Move Grid On/Off status and Grid On/Off status are remembered when you re-open CopyIt.
• When the Move Grid option is On, moving the Grid now displays a more fluid dragging motion.
• While you are changing the Grid Size or the Line Width, their current value is now displayed on-screen.
• You can now touch the Grid Line Width or Grid Size button to display their current values.
• Moving the grid will now display the Grid Location in x,y coordinates from the top left corner of the screen.
• You can now use the Move Grid option while zoomed in.
• The Grid Size now increments by 1 pixel instead of 4.
• The maximum Grid Size is now 200 pixels.USAGE:
1. Choose your reference photo from your Photo Album.
2. Decide on what device orientation works best with the image and then disable auto-rotate on the device.
3. Turn on your grid.
4. Either keep the default grid size or make it larger or smaller.
5. Choose your grid color depending on your dominant image color.
6. Either keep the default Maximum Zoom or change it depending on your image quality.
7. Either keep the default Grid position or toggle the Move Grid button to reposition the grid to your liking.
8. Using the pinch gesture, zoom in or out if required.
9. Once you are ready to start, touch the Lock button and all controls and touches will be disabled so you can be assured your picture will stay where it is without worrying about an accidental touch. (to Unlock, touch the Lock button again - this is the only button enabled in Locked mode).
10. Using CopyIt as your reference guide to know how many squares you need, draw up a grid using the same number of equal squares on your desired medium (e.g paper).
11. Draw the contents of each square, one at a time and if required, Unlock to Zoom in on the current square you are working on and Lock it again. (Locking is optional, but it does give you some extra peace of mind).
12. After completing all the squares your drawn image should look very much like original. If not, examine the square where your image seems different and just re-do that square.If you are finding it difficult, drawing your image upside down can help, as your brain will stop telling you what it SHOULD look like and you can just focus on drawing the actual shapes accurately.Happy drawing!• A Reset button has been added. This will reset all settings and unload the current image.
